Send photos that show the uncomfortable room, possible equipment locations and the visible route between them. We use them to start the installation conversation. Leave electrical covers and equipment intact; a photo can help us prepare, but it does not establish hidden condition, electrical capacity or the final installation scope.
Show the room as you use it
Take a wider view that includes the windows, doors and furniture. Tell us when it becomes uncomfortable and whether the door normally stays closed. That context is more useful than a close-up of an empty wall with no indication of the room around it.
If you have a preferred indoor position, include it along with the adjacent walls. An alternative may offer a better air path or drain route. You do not need to move heavy furniture or climb to photograph an inaccessible space.
Include possible outdoor positions
A wider outdoor photo can show nearby windows, gates, passages and the ground or wall where you imagine the unit. We need airflow and service access as well as a place the cabinet fits. Nearby occupied spaces matter to the placement discussion.
If the room is upstairs or at another level, explain that in your message. A photo may not make the height difference clear. Refrigerant length and elevation need to be checked against the selected equipment, and drainage needs its own route.
Send equipment information where accessible
For replacement work, accessible indoor and outdoor model labels are helpful. Existing plans, installation records or warranty documents can also identify the equipment. Do not remove covers to reach a label or connection.
A photo of the closed electrical panel can help us identify the existing equipment. It cannot establish available capacity, wire condition or the required circuit. Those remain part of the contractor’s assessment.
Tell us about restrictions before we settle a route
Mention condo or landlord permissions, known historic requirements and the stage of construction. If an ADU or addition is underway, available plans can help coordinate routes before finishes close. We do not need private account credentials or unrelated personal documents.
We use the information to prepare a more focused conversation and identify the next assessment steps. Photos help us understand your problem; they are not a remote certification that a route, circuit or equipment combination is suitable.
Let’s work out the installation for your space
Tell us what is happening in your rooms. We’ll help you plan the system and the work needed to install it.

Do I need a ladder?
No. Send what you can photograph safely from an accessible position. Do not climb or remove equipment covers for an estimate.
Can you give a fixed price from photos alone?
Photos can help define questions, but hidden conditions and capacity may still need assessment. We identify what remains unresolved.
Should I choose a model first?
No. Tell us about the rooms and the problem. We can assess suitable configurations before you commit to equipment.
